Deputy Manager

We are currently looking for an experienced, passionate and dynamic Face to Face Deputy Manager to work on behalf of War Child and assist in the development of their Street Fundraising campaign.

War Child is striving for a world where Children's lives are no longer torn apart by war.

They understand the needs of children, respect their rights and put them at the centre of the solution - from supporting Syrian children to access education to reintegrating child soldiers in the Central African Republic and working on juvenile justice in Afghanistan.

They aim to reach Children early in the conflict cycle and start to support them through their recovery.

Hours: Monday to Friday 10am - 6pm.
Pay: £12p/hr (Can go up depending on experience)

Your duties WILL include:

  • Leading field-based face-to-face teams by example setting the highest standards of performance and compliance set by the Fundraising Regulator and War Child.
  • Managing Team Leaders (TLs) and Face to face (F2F) Fundraisers; recruitment, induction training, performance management and compliance monitoring.
  • Working closely with the Individual Giving Manager to achieve and set supporter targets per month and per annum as part of an overall committed giving budget plan.
  • Managing performance of FRs and TLs and provide daily phone support to TLs, whilst also monitoring performance to target and expenditure.
  • Attending sites regularly to ensure high quality standards of F2F practice are maintained in accordance with internal and industry rules and regulations.
  • Updating management data when required and in line with administration deadlines e.g. scores/payroll/territory data.
  • Identify potential Team Leaders and support their development through structured development plans.
  • Ensuring the safety of fundraisers in the field in line with operational policies.
  • Ensure anti-discriminatory practice and promote diversity.

You MUST have:

  • Expert knowledge of F2F fundraising techniques and best practice.
  • Managing field-based TLs and F2F Fundraisers; Recruiting, inducting, training, developing, managing and monitoring performance.
  • Track record in developing and implementing successful supporter recruitment activities.
  • Proven experience of hitting or exceeding personal and team face-to-face financial targets and KPI (Key Performance Indicators)
  • A proven track record of target achievement and commitment to meeting targets and deadlines.
  • Experience of using fundraising databases and strong Excel skills.
  • Experience using fundraising applications such as Waysact/Evergiving
